The script for Akeelah reads a lot like a movie script, with fast transitions and a lot of scene changes. I created one main unit for the yard that lived upstage, and two periactoi that rotated to transport us to the other locations: Larabee's study, outside his and Javier's House, and Akeelah's room. We utilized a platform with chairs for each of the 3 bees, varying the style of chairs.
