The director was interested in the early scenes that take place in town to take place in a void, so with as little scenery as possible we established the house and the wrestling match, but as soon as we enter the forest, which is a place of redemption, love, etc. we are enveloped in a rich fullness, which is when the three autumnal portals were flown in (scroll to the bottom for a video.)
