The script and the costumes are woven so tightly together in Nottage's play. We see fabric before it becomes a garment, we see garments in half finished stages, we see characters actively sewing. We built the chemises, bloomers, and the matching corsets. Esther also wears two different corsets in Act 2 without leaving the stage for more than a moment - bless this actress for being willing to wear two at once.
